Auto Detailing Price List: What to Include + Pricing Examples

Auto detailing price list template with service menu, package and add-on layouts

An auto detailing price list template helps you present services, starting prices, packages and add-ons in a format customers can understand quickly. A good pricing menu should work on a phone, social media, your website and in print — while staying easy to update when your offer changes.

If you want to skip the design work, the DesignStash Auto Detailing Price List & Service Menu Pack includes eight coordinated editable layouts in Dark and Light styles.

A clear menu is easier to scan when services are grouped by category instead of placed in one long list.

Category Example services
Exterior Maintenance Wash, Decontamination Detail, Paint Enhancement
Interior Interior Refresh, Deep Interior Detail, Leather Care
Protection Wax / Sealant, Ceramic Coating, Glass Protection
Add-ons Pet Hair Removal, Engine Bay Detail, Headlight Restoration, Ozone Treatment

This structure makes it obvious what each service belongs to and helps customers compare options faster.

What should an auto detailing price list include?

1. Clear service categories

Use customer-friendly groups such as Exterior, Interior and Protection. Keep the names consistent across your website, social media and printed materials so customers always recognize the same offer.

2. Short service descriptions

One benefit-focused line is usually enough. For example: Deep Interior Detail — seats, carpets and trim deep clean. Long paragraphs make a price list harder to scan and reduce the visual impact of the pricing.

3. Starting prices where appropriate

Vehicle size, condition and the amount of work required can change the final price. If a service cannot be quoted accurately before inspection, wording such as from $149 gives customers a useful reference without locking you into one price for every vehicle.

4. Package comparison

If you sell Basic, Premium and Complete packages, make the differences obvious. Customers should be able to see at a glance what they gain by moving to the next package.

5. Add-ons and upgrades

Keep optional extras separate from core packages. Pet hair removal, engine bay detailing, headlight restoration, glass protection and similar services work well as add-ons because they increase order value without making the main package descriptions too complicated.

Should you price by vehicle size?

Many detailing businesses need different pricing for compact cars, sedans, SUVs, vans or heavily soiled vehicles. There are three common ways to show this:

  • One starting price: simple and clean, with the final quote confirmed after inspection.
  • Vehicle-size tiers: for example Sedan / SUV / Large SUV or Van.
  • Package price + surcharge: one standard package price with additional charges for larger vehicles or exceptional condition.

The best method is the one that reflects how your business actually quotes jobs. The template should make your pricing logic clearer, not force you into a pricing model that does not fit your workflow.

Price list vs. service menu

A price list works best when the customer already knows what they want and mainly needs pricing. A service menu is better when you want to explain the offer, highlight benefits and guide customers toward the right package.

That is why the DesignStash pack contains both pricing-focused and sales-focused layouts instead of repeating one design in different sizes.

Use the right format for each channel

A printed A4 price list, an Instagram post and a vertical Story have different space and readability requirements. A square social post should stay concise. A vertical Story can explain packages in more detail. A print version can include a fuller service menu and contact information.

What is included in the DesignStash pack?

The pack includes eight coordinated layout types:

  1. Full Price List

Before publishing your prices

Replace all demonstration prices with your real rates and check that your final menu reflects your market, vehicle sizes and service process. A strong detailing price list reduces uncertainty, makes your business look more organized and helps customers move from browsing to booking.
